The light elegance of the sea taking flight
While watching a documentary about the ocean, Riccardo was struck by the sight of dolphins gently nudging pufferfish as they played—an interaction that releases toxins, bringing the dolphins a sense of euphoria and joy.
He imagined the pufferfish as a whimsical companion, capable of lifting the spirits of its marine friend. Just as in life, there are moments when we all need someone—a friend, a colleague, even a stranger—to help us rise when we falter, so we can continue our journey.
From this vision came the Mongolfiere collection: an ode to companionship and friendship, a tribute to the power of collaboration—not only between two individuals, but also among companies, nations, and all those who wish to travel together through calm or stormy skies. Because even when darkness falls upon our path, when night stretches vast and uncertain, it is the bonds we share that keep us aloft—that allow us to keep moving forward.

The allure of a lost city comes
Over 2,400 years ago, the Athenian philosopher Platone sought to share his vision of justice and the governance of the Polis, giving rise to one of the most extraordinary intellectual exercises in history. He did not simply propose a set of rules, but told the story of a city beyond the Pillars of Hercules: Atlantis — a powerful and advanced civilization that, succumbing to arrogance, was punished by the gods with destruction.
Platone teaches us that even the most advanced civilization, when deprived of morality, is destined to fall.
Now, according to legend, it lies submerged in the ocean depths — yet its allure still echoes through time.
The Atlantis collection seeks to evoke that mysterious magic, bringing an aura of timeless elegance and wonder into everyday life.

Waves, sky and tradition in a single dream
Waves, clouds, and rocks blend together in a suspended landscape that bridges memory and modernity.
Inspired by ancient majolica yet reinterpreted with a contemporary touch, the décor unfolds like a narrative mosaic: each tile tells a story while contributing to a broader vision. The waves seem to move, the clouds open into plays of light, and the rocks rise like theatrical backdrops.
Amid these forms, light ships appear — floating between sea and sky — transforming the surface into an optical illusion where water and air merge. Each tile thus becomes a poetic fragment, capable of infusing depth and charm into any space.

Aquatic Creatures – Artistic Tiles by Riccardo Capuzzo for Ceramica Bardelli
Aquatic Creatures is the artistic and decorative tile collection designed by Riccardo Capuzzo for Ceramica Bardelli — a poetic journey into the underwater world, where art, design, and ceramic craftsmanship merge into a visual story of extraordinary intensity.
The collection features four original designs – Atlantis City, Mongolfiere, Sea Maioliche, and Seaweed – relief-printed on 60×120 cm porcelain stoneware slabs from the Colorama series.
Each surface becomes a narrative panel, evoking the wonder of the ocean depths and transforming interiors into immersive and emotional spaces.
Through sketches, illustrations, and visionary concepts, Riccardo Capuzzo translates his artistic imagination into a unique interior design project, inviting people to be surrounded by the enchanting presence of the sea — whether in private homes, restaurants, spas, or shared spaces.
With Aquatic Creatures, Ceramica Bardelli reaffirms its vocation for artistic ceramic decoration, giving life to a collection that revives the mystery and poetry of marine life, bringing back whales, turtles, crabs, and jellyfish as timeless symbols of beauty, harmony, and freedom.
